Dorsey Edward Rowe

Dorsey Edward Rowe is a Team Chief for development of electronic library in the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Combating Terrorism for the Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). He has over 43 years of defense related government service with experience in the Army, the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and two Defense Agencies. Over 29 of these years have been in the Washington, D.C. area working the most sensitive national security issues, both in the Department of Defense and the Interagency arena. During this time, he has acquired extensive experience in combating terrorism, special operations forces, interagency coordination, crisis management, operational deployment, procedures, intelligence, establishing new organizations, personnel management, determining requirements, staff supervision, exercise development, and policy development. Mr. Rowe has also made presentations at both military and civilian academic institutions to include Missouri State University, University of Nebraska (Kearney), United States Military Academy, National Defense University, Army War College, Navy War College, and Air Force War College. He was also an adjunct professor (International Relations, Comparative Politics, and Geography) at Miles College, Birmingham, Alabama, during the fall semester of 2006.

Mr. Rowe was an Assistant for Policy Coordination, a Senior Military Assistant to the Assistant Secretary, and Director for Special Operations for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations & Low Intensity Conflict. He was also a Branch Chief and Division Chief in the Operations Directorate in the Joint Staff. As well as, an Army Planner for the Army Staff.

Mr. Rowe received a B.S. from the United States Military Academy, masters in political science from the University of Maryland, a Senior Officials in National Security from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and was a member of the Executive Development Program in the Federal Executive Institute.
