John Sitilides

Adjunct Professor

John Sitilides is Principal at Trilogy Advisors, drawing on twenty years of professional success in federal government strategies and international policy to provide outcome-driven services to U.S. and international corporate executives and political leaders. He chairs major programs at the Woodrow Wilson Center Southeast Europe Project and the State Department’s Foreign Service Institute. Appointed to the Commerce Department Joint Science and Technology Cooperation Advisory Council, he has testified before Congress on U.S.-European relations. In 1998, Sitilides founded the Western Policy Center, a respected Washington, D.C. international relations think tank until it was merged with the Wilson Center in December 2004.

Formerly a senior advisor to U.S. Senator Alfonse D’Amato (R-NY), he is also a frequent media commentator on global affairs and national politics, interviewed or featured in leading U.S., European and other international broadcast and print media. Sitilides has delivered geopolitical analysis presentations at the Pentagon’s National Defense University, the U.S. Army Strategic Command, the U.S. Joint Forces Command, and the State Department’s Foreign Service Institute, as well as at Oxford University, Yale University, and other distinguished academic institutions. He received his Master’s Degree in International Affairs at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs in 1986, with specialization in International Security Policy and Western European Affairs, and his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Queens College in 1983.
