Dr. Ken Alibek is a Distinguished Professor at George Mason University. He also holds the positions of President and Chief Scientist of Advanced Biosystems. As a Distinguished Professor of Medical Microbiology and Immunology, Dr. Alibek conducts research and teaches in the areas of microbiology, immunology, and biotechnology. He has extensive knowledge of biotechnology, including, bioprocessing, biological weapons threat analysis; antibacterial and antiviral drug development; development of regimens for urgent prophylaxis and treatment of the diseases caused by biological weapons, and mass casualty handling.
