Established in the late 19th century, the Université Lyon 2 today teaches some 26,000 students and oversees 262 degrees on its two campuses, Berges du Rhône and Porte des Alpes. 10 schools and institutes offer undergraduate, graduate and doctoral training in human and social sciences, litteratures, languages, law, economics, management and political science. Active in its pursuit of international scientific cooperation, the university has 53 bilateral agreements underway and features 41 research teams.
