The main training center for French army officers, les écoles de Coëtquidan features three schools: the École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr (ESM), the École Militaire Interarmes (EMIA) and the École Militaire du Corps Technique et Administratif. Aiming to ensure maximal performance of army officers, the school prides itself on its multidisciplinary approach and high standards to develop situation awareness, a firm understanding of the world and society, decision-making in complex situations, and mastery of languages and other forms of communication.
