Hannah S. Mooney

Research Associate

Hannah S. Mooney is currently enrolled in the Professional Studies M.S. program in Counterterrorism (with a concentration in Weapons of Mass Destruction) offered by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and the Center for Advanced Defense Studies (CADS). Her research areas of interest include chemical and biological warfare (agents and host-pathogen interactions) and the psychological aspects of terrorism, related to both terrorists and their victims.

While completing her B.S. in Biology at George Mason University, Ms. Mooney’s coursework and laboratory experience included cell biology, microbiology, genetics, immunology, anatomy and physiology, organic chemistry, statistical analysis, and biomedical ethics. She is also currently a laboratory technician at the Genetics and IVF Institute.

John Chobany

Senior Researcher

John Chobany has over 20 years of achievement and experience in both software and systems engineering, specializing in information assurance and safety critical development and testing of advanced software intensive systems. He also has many accomplishments in the field of aerospace engineering. Some of the programs he has contributed to include the NASA Space Shuttle, Hubble Space Telescope, Earth Observation System, and next-generation FAA airline communication systems.

Mr. Chobany also has extensive project management experience over government-sponsored software development efforts. He has a Masters of Science in Space Technology from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Masters of Science in Computer Science from The George Washington University.

Matthew C. Peoria

Matthew Peoria currently works at MPRI, where he initially supported the Army in Kuwait as an intelligence trainer, helping to train the US 3rd Infantry Division for Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). He now serves as a Senior Military Analyst (Intelligence and Security) in support of the Department of the Army in Arlington, VA. Major Peoria serves as the State Intelligence Officer for the Maryland Army National Guard. Mr. Peoria is pursuing his Masters of Science degree in Counter-terrorism, through the RIT/CADS Professional Studies MS Program. His research involves out-of-the box innovations to leverage actionable intelligence and concepts to improve intelligence support to Force Protection efforts.

Dev Shenoy

Research Associate

Dev Shenoy is a senior undergraduate student at the Rochester Institute of Technology majoring in Computer Engineering and minoring in Business and Entrepreneurship.

Having had experience in software design, digital hardware design and interface software with hardware, Dev's research interests lie in application-specific processors, computer vision, computer graphics and VLSI design. Dev Shenoy is also a student member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) and of RIT's Entrepreneurship Society.
