Vladimir Lefebvre, Ph.D.

Originator of Reflexive Theory and Reflexive Control, Vladimir Lefebvre is an expert in mathematical psychology, with a particular interest in the applications of Reflexive Theory and Reflexive Control to anti-terrorism research. He is the author of several hundred scientific publications, including The Structure of Awareness: Toward a Symbolic Language of Human Reflexion (1977) and The Algebra of Conscience (1982, 2001). In 2000, Lefebvre was awarded the Gold Medal of the Moldovan branch of the International Information Academy. Lefebvre founded the Reflexive Theory Research Team of the Rio Grande Research Corridor in 2002, which has received international recognition for its contributions to the field of Reflexive Theory and Reflexive Control. He holds a Ph.D. in engineering psychology from the University of Moscow.
From the time he earned his Ph.D. in 1971 until 1973, he held various teaching and research appointments in Soviet scientific and engineering institutions, including Lomonosov State University. From 1974 through 1975, Lefebvre was a researcher in the Department of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). From 1975 to 1977, he was a lecturer in the Russian program of the Humanities School at UCI. He has since then held a research appointment at UCI's School of Social Sciences.
Formerly a consultant to Sciences Applications International, Inc. of the Rand Corporation, he served at the Physical Science Laboratory in New Mexico and is now a senior consultant of Phoenix Mathematical Systems Modeling, Inc.
